A vibrant iced drink combining antioxidant-rich matcha and sweet‑tart blueberry syrup for a visually stunning, energizing latte.
Ingredients
1 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
¼ cup water
¼ cup sugar (or maple syrup)
1–2 tsp matcha powder
½ cup hot water
1 cup milk or milk alternative
Ice cubes
Optional: lemon juice, vanilla extract, mint sprig, fresh blueberries
Instructions
1. In saucepan, simmer blueberries, water, and sugar for 8–10 minutes until thickened; strain solids to make syrup.
2. Whisk matcha powder into hot water until smooth.
3. Fill a tall glass ¾ full with ice and cold milk.
4. Add 2–3 tablespoons blueberry syrup down the side.
5. Slowly pour matcha mixture over a spoon onto the glass to layer.
6. Garnish with fresh blueberries and mint; stir before drinking.
Notes
Use oat or almond milk for creamier texture.
Adjust syrup sweetness with maple syrup or citrus.
Serve immediately to preserve layers.
